After we picked up Kael in Budapest and camped at a nice spot, we woke up next morning with some HEAVY down wind, packed up quickly. Km went down fast. Reached our record of 16 km/h. With our loose footed rig we have to jybe, coming about a lot. And those moments were intense. Water came in the boat couple of times! But we managed to sail the whole day and did 70 km! Getting closer and closer to the border with Serbia and Croatia.
We have gone through some crazy conditions to get out of Slovakia. Lock of Gabčíkovo has been craziest yet. Hungry awaits. Budapest is not over the mountains! Thank you Locsey for your love and help!

Unfortunately, for the past few weeks our PayPal wasn’t functioning. It has been limited due to the fact that we are not of legal age just yet. BUT! The problem is fixed and you can donate to us here.
The primary reasons for doing this trip are degrowth and to raise money for WoodWork Barn so that future students of Brockwood Park School have the opportunity to do awesome projects where they can create with their hands. Sailing and rowing the boat that we were involved in making over thousands of kilometers gives us a real sense of appreciation for the skill and effort required in manufacturing.
Building a wooden boat has been an amazing opportunity and it’s only been possible because we had access to a woodwork space equipped with basic tools. We would really like new generations of students to be able to have the same opportunities and in order to achieve that we need new and better equipment for woodwork and other crafts.
Any kind of contribution is greatly appreciated!
After long and winding 384 km of Main river we have reached the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. It’s 171 km long and it joins Main river with Danube not far from Kelheim. From there it’s 2410 km through 10 different countries to the Black Sea!
We really wanted to get a tow but there weren’t many boats going our direction so it was 6 days of pure rowing as it’s not allowed to sail on the canal. Super stoked to reach the Danube!
Rowing our way to the Rhine-Main-Danube canal. Landscape and weather are changing and we keep on going…
This video is about our travel to Germany and first night by the river!
Our “WE MADE IT TO THE WATER” big momento! We got help from so many awesome people to be here.
Our final touches on the boat in Oxfordshire at Stephen’s. We have spent two weeks after school had ended to finish Jill and hoist the sail.
Check it out!
We have survived a storm in the beautiful city of Aschaffenburg. Real nightmare with lightning and rumbling from the sky!
Made some progress. From Hochst to Fechenheim through big city of Frankfurt. Looong sunny day!
After spending first few days in Hochheim, we have finally started smoothly rowing up the river Main. Reached Hochst.
Real summer out here. 38 degrees and it’s getting hotter!
